Even though I’m already a pretty avid reader…every year, one of my New Year’s goals is to read more. Recently, I’ve on a growth kick, or, as I guess some people refer to them, “self-help” books. (Eh, I’m sticking with personal growth). And boy, let me tell you, have I found quite a few game changers. These books all gave me lots of those sought after “ah-ha” moments. So if you are looking for some books to kick off 2017, I have just the list…
Coffee & Cocktails’ Weekend Guide to Rincón
I feel like I’m a broken record again. I fell off (like seriously fell off) the blogging wagon. To say that the fall of 2016 was extremely busy is an understatement. But I’m back and I hope that 2017 will see me be more organized in my work and personal life so that I can continue to devote the time to some of the other passions in my life, like Coffee & Cocktails!
So if you haven’t already checked out my weekend guide to San Juan, you can check it out here. When we travel to PR over the summer we usually split up our trip between San Juan and Rincón. Rincón is literally my happy place. So much so, that every year, during our vacation, we scheme and plot on how we can all quit our day jobs and move to paradise! One day, one day!

Coffee & Cocktails’ Weekend Guide to San Juan
This post has been weeks (and I mean WEEKS) in the making. It took me a little while to get adjusted to reality after vacation, and then I suffered an extreme laser tag injury that resulted in sporting a black eye for weeks, and then work…blah blah blah…and so I’m finally getting around to finishing this post up!
So now to the good stuff…need a beach getaway that’s easily accessible and relatively affordable? I’ve got you covered. Every summer I unwind, relax, and disconnect from reality during my annual pilgrimage to Puerto Rico. It’s seriously my happy place.
Typically, I primarily spend time in two cities – San Juan and Rincon. Both cities are vastly different and can offer you a completely different vacation. So sit back, relax, and start dreaming about your next beach vacay in San Juan…and stay tuned for Part 2 on Rincon!

Love is Love is Love
Three days ago, I woke up with the rest of the country to discover the horrific Pulse shooting. Since then, it’s been hard to even put into words all of my thoughts and emotions. You see, I’ve lived in Orlando for over 9 years. It’s my home. I work less than 2 miles from Pulse. I live less than 5 miles from Pulse. I pass it multiple times each week. This tragedy that is all over the news and social media happened in my town, my home, and to my fellow neighbors. Nothing can prepare you for when something like this happens in your community.
The Psychic Capital of the World
If you are looking for an unusual day trip around Central Florida, I have just the place for you! The Psychic Capital of the World…betcha didn’t know there was such a thing.
7 Tips to Survive Freezing Your Eggs
Size Matters (Follicle Size That Is…)
Shots Shots Shots (and Not the Tequila Kind)!
So today lets talk about the shots (the fun aspect of the egg retrieval process). If you missed Parts 1 and 2, you can read them here and here.
The medications prescribed during the egg retrieval (ER) / IVF process are injections. Depending on your doctor and your protocol, some shots are given subcutaneously and others intramuscular. Regardless of the method, the bottom line is you (or if you are lucky enough to have someone, someone else) will be sticking yourself over and over and over again.
Have Meds? Need Stimulation.
Today is Part 2 on my egg retrieval journey. If you haven’t read Part 1 yet, you can check it out here.
Let’s talk meds. Meds are what cause the ovaries to “plump up” and grow all of those beautiful looking eggs (more on both of these later in the series).
There are a couple of different types of protocols.
Have Eggs…Plenty of Eggs.
Today is Part 1 of a series on my recent egg retrieval journey.
Let’s talk about eggs.
Eggs don’t stop aging just because we haven’t found Mr. Right. They have a certain shelf-life. And boy, I’m knocking on expiration’s door.
